Peter Seychell (b. 1967), professionally qualified as a draughtsman and a pharmaceutical business owner, exhibited a strong artistic inclination from a young age. However, for many years, he remained distant from art and the art scene due to various reasons. It wasn’t until around five years ago that he shifted his focus, dedicating less time to his demanding full-time job and rediscovering his passion for painting. Seychell’s artistic style is best described as eclectic. For him, art knows no rules, fixed styles, or limits. It serves as a realm where he can express himself freely, without constraints or inhibitions. Engaging in multiple artworks simultaneously and in different styles, Seychell is particularly drawn to the alluring medium of ink. His signature works involve intricate drawings, where he invests hours to achieve detailed precision. In his later works, he embraces a freer style, predominantly executed in ink, depicting scenes enveloped in mystery. Seychell has participated in various collective exhibitions and his debut solo exhibition, titled Baħħ was held in 2023.
Kevin Sciberras (b. 1978) started his formal artistic education at the Malta Society of Arts, Manufacturers and Commerce. He continued his studies under Charles Cassar and later furthered his studies under the supervision of Harry Alden. He also studied drawing and painting at the Malta Government School of Art in Valletta under Joseph Micallef and Tony Sciberras. Kevin Sciberras also holds a B.A (Hons) and M.A in History of Art from the University of Malta. He has participated in various art exhibitions in Malta and abroad and held three solo exhibitions. Kevin Sciberras is best known for his paintings of Maltese architectural landmarks. He is mainly inspired by his physical surroundings especially by urbanscapes that are completely devoid of figures. Through his art we perceive familiar places in a whole new way. Each work brings a sublime light into his iconic landmarks as his subjects are characterised by visible brushstrokes and rich layers of paint. Diluted acrylic paint allows him to use very thin washes of layered surfaces of transparent veils. Consistent throughout are the planes of light intersecting and overlapping each other. The layers of paint are applied in glazes to allow the light to radiate from within the painting. He allows his subjects to fade away into gestural strokes and brilliant highlights that define his style. He lets his emotions dictate his use of colour and the strength of his brushstrokes.

Visual artist Fabio Borg (b. 1974, Malta) is of Italian and Maltese descent. He started his artistic training by studying painting and drawing at a tender age, first at the Malta Society of Arts and later at the Malta School of Art, both in Valletta. Borg also lived and studied in Italy in what were his formative years. His interactions with Italian artists shaped the way he thought and developed his ideas. Further influence came from Gabriel Caruana (1929-2018) who enthusiastically supported the artist’s career. In fact, Borg’s first solo exhibition was held at The Mill in 1999 thanks to Caruana’s support. He continues to participate in several local and foreign exhibitions and held a solo exhibition in April 2022 at Galleria Vittoria on Via Margutta, the same art gallery that represents Borg in Italy. Anything can serve as an inspiration for Fabio Borg. Lately his work has evolved towards a more abstract dimension. This is combined with a minimalist appearance that is achieved through a limited use of colour and an economic use of compositional lines. In fact, his art has become more monochromatic than ever. To this effect, he has recently also become more conscious of the fact that one can effectively convey ideas through a minimal use of colour and composition. Borg hopes that this artistic expression will suffice in arousing feelings in the viewer since, for him, his painting perfectly expresses the feelings that his unique perspective causes. In actuality, Borg is realising how significant the conceptual aspect is in art, and at times, arguably, this is even more important than the actual execution of the work. The artist works from his studio in Mosta that provides the ideal environment in which he can nurture and express his thoughts.

Always travelling the creative pathways as the work unfolds, unplanned as it takes a life of its own. Her work has been exhibited here in Malta and abroad, and is fortunate to know her work hangs on walls where it is appreciated.
Antoine Farrugia (b. 1969) was born and lives in Mqabba, Malta. The artist’s primary driving force lies within the limestone medium; its various geological characteristics and pliability provide the momentum to give life to organic, undulating forms. Energy that transcends the material itself, resulting in a personal endeavour to transform the ordinary into the extraordinary. Such strength reverberates also in other materials, whether marble or steel, resulting in dynamic and monumental sculptures. The stillness and chastity of his sculptures catapult the viewer into a world of sensual forms that are so reminiscent of Farrugia’s oeuvre. Farrugia had five solo exhibitions throughout the years. He participated in numerous collective exhibitions and also participated in two editions of the Mdina Contemporary art biennale in 2015 and 2017. He was invited to various international symposia and workshops in Germany and China. In 2024, one of Farrugia’s sculptures was successfully auctioned at The Grand Charity Auction Top Charity, initiated by the Omenaa Foundation, where his piece fetched the price of €75,000 for charity. His works can be found in private collections and public spaces in Malta and abroad.
